What is the type of grouting?

The factors that need to be considered when choosing a grouting method are: plugging grouting equipment, test results, grouting experience, and grouting management methods. On the basis of understanding the scope of application, plugging grouting technicians should consider the engineering project, the effect of soil improvement, engineering geological conditions, the level of cost, etc. to determine grouting materials, grouting methods, etc., and carry out appropriate grouting design . As a comprehensive application method, the plugging grouting method has its commonalities and characteristics. Commonality refers to the key points of its construction procedures and construction techniques.
 
According to the different mechanism of grout in the carrier being poured, the grouting method can be divided into: Filling grouting method, compaction grouting method, permeation grouting method, etc. and other methods that are between or combine the above methods.
                                            
For example, the main objects of filling and grouting are biological cavities in the dyke body, serious water leakage after the lining of underground engineering tunnels, or the filling of the gap between the lining wall and the surrounding rock.
The main objects of the compaction grouting method are the refilling and compaction of the under-compacted earth dam and soil lift after rolling, or the refilling and compaction of new voids and vein diameters that appear through the splitting grouting process;
The main object of the permeation grouting method is the sand layer and part of the sand and gravel layer with a permeability coefficient greater than 10-5cm/s; the main object of the split grouting method is the clay layer and most of the sand with the permeability coefficient not greater than 10-6cm/s Soil layer.

The purpose of grouting is mainly as follows:
1. Reinforce and improve bearing capacity
It can be used to prevent foundation or ground subsidence during excavation of underground engineering, construction surface collapse, reinforcement of surrounding rock of tunnels, roadways, and shafts, protection of nearby buildings during excavation of foundation pits, reinforcement of soil retaining structures behind, and reinforcement of landslide stratum. Reinforcement of karst formations and quicksand layers. Reinforce and uplift the subsided foundation of buildings. Grouting reinforcement at the bottom of the column. Improve the bearing capacity of the pile foundation. Reinforcement of the subsidence of railway, highway roadbed and airport runway.
                                  
2. Water blocking and seepage prevention
When excavating underground projects such as mine roadways, shafts, tunnels, submarine tunnels, and subways, grouting anti-seepage curtains can be used to control water inrush or prevent seepage and plug leakage. The anti-seepage of the dam body and foundation, the seepage around the foundation pit and the water and sand in the base can all be treated by grouting.
3. Extinguish
The chemical slurry grouting with strong anti-corrosion ability and compactness of the stone body can prevent the diffusion of gas. It uses the water in the slurry to evaporate and absorb heat, so that the temperature of the combustion zone is gradually cooled down, and the combustion pores and surrounding cracks are filled and blocked. The air inlet channel produces a good fire extinguishing effect.
